We just got a pass to the Phoenix Zoo which we absolutely love. The animals are so close up and they have lots of shade with misters and a little splash park. So now when we go to the zoo Charlie calls it the Zoo Splash. He loves the movie Madagascar so he yells Melman when we see the giraffes and Marty when we see the Zebras. They also have a petting zoo which Jack thought was pretty neat. They had tractors you could sit and ride on and Jack loves cars so he was in heaven driving the tractor. Charlie love petting the sheep and he about had a heart attack when he saw the donkey. He saw Shrek and loves donkeys now. Uncle George makes all the toys for McDonald's and gave Charlie all the Shrek toys and Charlie takes Shrek and donkey with him everywhere. The rooster crowed and Jack thought that was hilarious and was trying to imitate it all through the zoo. It was so cute and Charlie was doing the donkey noise E-awe. We have been to the zoo three times and hope to go once a week. Although I think it has confused Charlie because now when we go on walks he will look in the trees and say I see you monkeys.
We also found the Tempe Splash Park which the boys love. There is a waterfall and water slides and the best part is the water is less than a foot deep so Charlie and Jack can run and play and I don't have to worry about them drowning since Charlie has no fear of water and would jump in the pool if he had the chance.
We just love it here but Charlie always asks to go to Javiers house and play with all his friends from his two year old playgroup. We don't have many kids in our ward his age but hopefully this week some new families will have moved in.
